Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the charming city of Savannah, GA, Current Kitchen & Cocktails offers an exquisite take on Asian fusion cuisine that truly excites the palate. Nestled at 7815 US-80, this vibrant restaurant masterfully blends traditional Asian flavors with modern culinary twists, creating dishes that are as inventive as they are satisfying.

The menu at Current Kitchen & Cocktails reads like a flavorful journey across Asia, inviting guests to indulge in standout starters such as the Hand Crafted Spring Rolls and perfectly pan-seared Pork Dumplings served with a zesty ponzu sauce — each bite bursting with fresh, nuanced flavor. Moving into sandwiches, the Seared Beef & Goat Cheese sandwich stands out with its harmonious balance of caramelized onions, pickled daikon, and peppery arugula, paired delightfully with crispy garlic Parmesan fries. For fans of classic Vietnamese tastes with a gourmet flair, the Banh Mi Sliders—roasted pork paired with sriracha and pickled vegetables—are a must-try, their layers of spicy, tangy, and savory notes dancing on the tongue.

The restaurant’s “By the Land” offerings elevate comforting Asian staples to new heights. The Ramen Bowl, featuring a choice of tender chicken or grilled pork belly, topped with a perfectly poached egg and fresh scallions, boasts a rich, umami-laden broth that serves as a perfect canvas for every ingredient. Meanwhile, the Current House Noodle—a vibrant stir-fry of wide rice noodles with chicken, bell peppers, and basil—delivers a satisfying symphony of textures and flavors that linger long after the last bite.

What truly sets Current Kitchen & Cocktails apart is not only its food but also its inviting atmosphere. Guests consistently rave about the ambiance, from the beautifully lit outdoor patio adorned with string lights and swaying palm trees to the welcoming, knowledgeable staff who enhance the dining experience with genuine warmth and attentiveness. Reviewers highlight attentive servers like Colt, Marie, and Ryker, whose friendly guidance ensures every meal feels personalized and memorable.

Customer testimonials only deepen the impression that Current Kitchen & Cocktails is a Savannah gem worth seeking out. Laura Bentley shares her delight over the exceptional fried Gyoza, a dish she hadn’t enjoyed elsewhere, and Steve Falk praises the accommodating service and thorough menu knowledge during a bustling holiday weekend. The enthusiastic recommendation to start with the Turmeric Mussels, a dish noted for its rich, irresistible flavor, comes from multiple diners who have found this item unforgettable. Even those who ventured beyond their usual preferences found much to love—the Tuna Tartar’s freshness and the decadent richness of the house noodles (known affectionately as “drunk man noodles”) are frequently spotlighted as standouts.

In sum, Current Kitchen & Cocktails is far more than a meal—it’s a celebration of bold flavors, innovative cooking, and warm hospitality in a setting that feels both stylish and relaxed. Whether you’re a local or visiting Savannah, this restaurant beckons with promises of a dining experience that excites all the senses and leaves a lasting impression.

Beyond expectations! I live out of town and return to visit family. I have been hearing about this restaurant for a few years so when it closed I was sad I never took the time to go. It has now reopened so I made plans to have a meal here on my next visit. I am so glad that I did!! I love to get steamed Gyoza but have not had a fried version that was worth ordering again, these are amazing! The exterior is light and crunchy almost like a crispier egg roll. The ponzu dipping sauce is perfect, not too salty. The Chilean sea bass risotto is on the Specials menu from your server, but I’m told that it’s regularly on there unless they have sold out. They need to add this to the printed menu! Easily one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever eaten! The risotto is cheesy and creamy, perfectly complementing the light and juicy sea bass. The red curry butter sauce is wonderful (they will give you extra if you ask) and ties the fish and the risotto together perfectly. It’s not spicy at all. My dinner date got the same thing but subbed grilled veggies for the risotto. They were catmelized onions, thick cut squash and zucchini. All perfectly cooked through despite their large size. I would return to this restaurant just for this dish! We split a chocolate mousse dome dessert and it was good. Not sure I would order dessert here again based off that one though, it was fine, just not incredible like the appetizer and entree were! I would dine here again. I will recommend it to friends. It’s nice to see that the island has one special high end restaurant because you had to go all the way downtown to get that previously. I hope they stay open this time and are successful! We arrived right at 5:15 and the loud side was bright and open, maybe only 1/3 full. By the time we left all of the tables were taken and it was very loud (cafeteria-like) We didn’t mind but I was glad we had more time to talk at the beginning of the meal because we did have to repeat things towards the end. We sat in the far corner by the window, to be away from the “noisy” bar but the whole room has a decent echo throughout. If you want to chat with the person across from you after 5:45 I suggest the quiet side. Noisy side is gorgeous in the sunlight. I’ve included an updated menu - March 2022 since I did not see a recent one on here, but I think it’s very much the same as before closing. I thought the prices were just right for the food quality and dining experience.

We were recently in Savannah over Memorial Day Weekend and were having a difficult time finding a reservation for our part of eight...thankfully, we found Current Kitchen. This restaurant is about a 15 - 20 minute ride, but well worth it!! We arrived and were seated promptly...our server was Colt, very knowledgeable about all the menu items and very friendly. We started off with some appetizers, several sushi rolls which were very good and calamari!! The entrees were equally as good...I had the Fiery Chili Garlic low country boil...contained shrimp, crayfish, sausage, corn on the cob in a phenomenal broth. Others had risotto dishes, the lamb chop special, snapper and sea bass...everyone cleaned their plates. We saved room for dessert and were equally pleased...key lime cake, tuxedo bomb ganache and pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. When in Savannah...make sure you add this to your list of restaurants!!!

Start with the Turmeric Mussels and you’ll thank me; they were unbelievable! The sea bass with risotto was delicious and the calamari was cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. Ryker was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and the support team was engaging and kind.

Great food. The Tuna Tar-Tar is really good. The house noodles (drunk man noodles) are delicious. The turmeric muscles are really good, but don’t get a side of bread because they’re really filling on their own and the side of bread will be overkill. The one thing I would say is don’t get the sushi rolls. It’s not that the sushi is bad, but it’s just meh, so-so. Very nice ambiance, service, + out door seating

Ended up here for dinner and am so happy to have come across this gem! The restaurant is beautiful, but the patio is even better with string lights and beautiful palm trees in the background. Our food was excellent- I had the Current Chicken and my husband had the Pad Thai- both were delicious! Our waitress, Marie, made the evening extra special with her incredibly welcoming and friendly service. We live out of town, but definitely will stop back here when we come back to Savannah. Highly recommend for great food and a great atmosphere!

Amazing! Upscale food with a reasonable pricetag! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the restaurant is beautiful. If I had to give a complaint it would be that the shakers at the bar are extremely loud if you're seated near the bar and trying to have a conversation, BUT to be fair, the hostess asked if we would like a quieter dining area or if we'd rather be seated in the open area and we said we didn't have a preference. Extremely happy, would recommend, will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Grateful that this restaurant is excellent, open and in business! We are hearing (not here) that so many businesses are having trouble hiring employees because they can earn more on unemployment rather than working. Here, they are short handed and only had 2 servers but we are told it’s because these you g people are getting their vaccinations and not feeling well. I can only say that I hope these people feel better. And that this business is able to stay in business. I wish all the businesses are able to thrive. Back to food... it was DELICIOUS! Snapper, beet salad, calamari, shrimp tacos and some very special drinks to enjoy!

OMG!! Food is amazing. If you’ve ever been to Madame butterflies or chives, it’s very similar (phenomenal) but here’s a little bit more price friendly. Awesome service the vibe is nice the location is really tucked off and I love that. I had a few drinks the bartenders were awesome with their recommendations. I will be back!!!
